Let Freedom Ring: Part I © December 2020 [$500]

In many schools of theology and religious programs, religious leaders who were also activists sometimes were eliminated from the religious historical records despite their strong faith- based movements.  Activism, spirituality, and religious freedom are the concepts that participants will examine within this course.  Some of the icons included are not viewed as traditional religious leaders.  Yet, these iconic figures’ impassioned views and actions due to their strong faith motivated the masses to spiritual action that transformed communities, nations, and ultimately the world. This 5-week course will allow participants to explore the lives of these historic figures and to understand the contrasts and the comparisons relative to these figures.
